A very controversial topic has sprung up because of recent events in the media. This particular topic has caught my interest because of my love for psychology. The recent death of Robin Williams had the world mourning and sympathetic for the reasons behind his suicide whereas society is using Amanda Bynes twitter as a source of amusement.
What gives y’all?
Why is it ok to joke about Amanda Bynes’s sanity but if someone were to joke about Robin Williams they would be reprimanded? Thats right, it’s not ok. Mental Illness comes in all forms and the double standards associated with it need to stop.
